Sweet Sunday Sketch 97

This morning I participated in the Sweet Sunday Sketch 97. This was the card I created to match the criteria provided. The flower and poke-a-dot backgrounds came from the DCWV "The Blossoms & Butterflies Stack."

I used "Magic Mesh" as a textured background behind my accent flower. The bottom (pink) layer of the flower is simply pink cardstock cut out with a hand punch outlined in "Star Dust" Stickles. The second layer is a Prima yellow poke-a-dot smaller size flower outlined in "Star Dust" Stickles. Holding the flower together and the "Be Happy" charm is a white brad. Lastly, to add a 3D effect, I pop dotted the accent flower to the Magic Mesh.

 To add a bit of glam to the poke-a-dots on the edges of the card, I randomly added "Fruit Punch" Stickles to fill in the dots.

 The inside of the card has the same pattern of poke-a-dots from the front of the card as the bottom background. Only a simple "Happy Birthday" was needed to tie the whole card together.

Christmas Tags 2010

I decided this year to do something a little different than the normal stick on labels for our Christmas Gifts. I started out cutting a tag with the cricut from Tags, Bags and More cartridge at 5 inches. I created circle text with each person's name and the year 2010 on Red Cardstock and then a white scallop background fromWhite Cardstock.

I added a Cut Out Stocking mounted with a Large Red Button. I added a Santa Charm tied with Green and Cream colored Hemp.

I love using the Scallops and Circles to Highlight the person's name to gifts.

Happy Birthday Flower Card

Here is a birthday card that I wanted to look a little different than your typical Happy Birthday saying, so I just used "HB". I used Prima flowers layered to give a 3-D look. Of course- adding stickles to every petal including around the "HB".

Shimmery Tree- "Happy Holidays"

This is one of my favorite christmas cards that I have made so far!

I stamped the tree on acid free designer scrapbooking paper. Added a sheet of acetate stamping "Happy Holidays" at the bottom. On this sheet, after laying it over the tree, I decorated the tree with stickles (Love my stickles)! The ribbon on the binding adds a lacey touch!
